July and August 2020 Fee schedule:

During July and August the fees will be as follows:
6 Month - 3 Year Program (less Government reduction/COVID discount.)

5 days/wk: 1550 - 350 =1200 - 25 =1175
3 days/wk:1170 - 210 = 960 - 15 = 945
2 days/wk: 780 - 140 = 640 - 10 = 630
Drop-in rate = 78.75/day

Any new families enrolling only for July and/or August will not have to pay a registration fee or
deposit.
Drop-in spaces may be available upon request (with advance notice) for individual days.

Acorn Early Education Centre is part of the government of British Columbia’s Child
Care Fee Reduction Initiative which enhances child care affordability by offering funding to reduce and stabilize parents’ monthly child care fees.

Families can also apply for the Affordable Child Care Benefit to reduce the cost of child care if
eligible.

6 Months-3 Years Program Temporary Rates

July and August 2020 Fee schedule:

During July and August the fees will be as follows:

5 days/wk: 1120 - 100 =1020 - 25 =995
3 days/wk: 840 - 60 = 780 - 15 =765
2 days/wk: 560 - 40 = 520 - 10 =510
Drop-in rate = 63.75/day

Any new families enrolling only for July and/or August will not have to pay a registration fee or
deposit.
Drop-in spaces may be available upon request (with advance notice) for individual days.

We take the health and safety of children, families and staff very seriously. We have Covid-19 policies and protocols in place with enhanced cleaning and hygiene etiquette.

Closures

Acorn Early Education Centre is open Monday to Friday from 7:45 am to 5:45 pm year round,
with the exception of Statutory Holidays, a winter break, and two Professional Development
Days per year (which coincide with the West Vancouver School District).

The days we are closed are:

  • January – New Year’s Day
  • February – Professional Development Day (the Friday before Family Day)
  • February – Family Day
  • April – Good Friday
  • April – Easter Monday
  • May – Victoria Day
  • July – Canada Day
  • August – BC Day
  • September – Labour Day
  • September – Professional Development Day (the third Friday in September)
  • October – Thanksgiving Day
  • November – Remembrance Day
  • December 24th to the first business day in January

On rare occasions an emergency closure may be necessary due to extreme weather conditions or
interrupted power or water supply. We follow the West Vancouver School District’s weather
advisories, and we will close should Westcot Elementary School deem it necessary to close, as
they are our neighbours. Parents/guardians will be notified of emergency closures as soon as
possible.
